| Don Haslett, A LT aboard 1970-72, (at podium), as spokesman for the re-commissioning crew presented the DD-950 Association with the original brass quarterdeck plaque that was taken off when the ship was de-commissioned. Mr. Haslett also proposed a toast to former CO Walter "Jack" Deal who due to medical reasons was unable to attend. He also made note of the most generous donation made to the association by Bill Rennicke, a LT aboard 1970-71, in honor of the officers and men of the re-commissioning crew. |
